Luna and Nova are fully AI-generated characters. Everything they say is generated live by an AI system — no human writes or speaks their lines during the broadcast. When you chat with the show, you are interacting with an AI system. The stream carries a permanent on-screen AI label, and this notice also applies to recordings (VODs), clips, and social media posts of the show. Luna and Nova are original fictional characters; they do not imitate any real person.
When you write a message in the show's live chat on YouTube or Twitch, we process:
We do not collect anything beyond what you actively type into the public chat. We do not use cookies, trackers, or analytics of our own, and we never buy, sell, or trade personal data.
To run the show. The Luna & Nova Show is interactive: chat messages may be selected and answered live by the hosts, sometimes including your username. By posting in the chat you take part in a live, public broadcast — that is the heart of the format. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in producing the interactive show you are choosing to participate in.
Moderation and safety. Every chat message is automatically screened in real time before it can reach the hosts. Messages that are blocked by this filter (for example spam or advertising) are logged — with username, message content, and timestamp — solely for security, abuse prevention, and improving the filter. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the show safe and watchable. We do not use chat data to build profiles of viewers.
Technical tuning. The show keeps a technical log of each broadcast day (which messages arrived, which were answered, timing of the production pipeline). We use this only to fix problems and improve the show. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable broadcast.
If your message is answered by the hosts, that moment becomes part of the live broadcast. Like everything said on stream, it may appear in recordings (VODs), clips, and highlights on YouTube, Twitch and other platforms where the show is published. Please keep in mind that YouTube and Twitch chat are public and are governed by Google's privacy policy and Twitch's privacy policy.
The Luna & Nova Show uses YouTube API Services to run its own YouTube channel. The show's automation updates the title and description of the show's own live stream so they match the topic on air, reads the live chat of the show's own broadcast so the hosts can respond, and gives finished recordings their title, chapters and playlist. It accesses no data of any other channel and asks nobody to sign in with a Google account.
By taking part in the live chat on YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy policy describes how Google itself handles your data on YouTube. What we process, why, and for how long is described in the sections above and below; nothing extra is collected through the API. If you ever grant a Google account permission to any of our services, you can revoke it at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@lunanovashow.com — we will respond within 30 days.
Two honest limitations: we cannot un-broadcast something that already went out live, and content on YouTube or Twitch is also subject to those platforms' own procedures. If a broadcast moment involving you is a genuine problem for you, contact us — we will look at removing or editing the VOD segment where reasonably possible.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
The show is intended for viewers aged 13 and up, in line with the terms of service of YouTube and Twitch.
The Luna & Nova Show is entertainment. The hosts are AI characters; their opinions are generated automatically and are not statements of fact by the producer. Headlines discussed on the show come from the named news outlets. By taking part in the live chat you agree that your messages may be read out and answered on air, and that the platform's rules (YouTube Terms of Service, Twitch Terms of Service) and our house rules apply.
